Every knitted product with Hawick Knitwear on the label has been wholly manufactured in our factory in Scotland.

We start with the finest and softest natural fibres and yarns to provide both comfort and durability. We then use traditional manufacturing methods and hand finishing to ensure Hawick Knitwear products are the most luxurious available. Many products are Total EasyCare allowing them to be machine washed at 40 °C and tumble-dried, thus avoiding tedious washing by hand.

Cashmere

Our Cashmere products start with the finest and most expensive Cashmere fibre. The fibre is then dyed and spun in the UK to exacting standards of colour and thickness. Using the best fibre minimises pilling and the technologically advanced dying process ensures the colour is strong and resilient, providing you with a high quality, durable garment.

Merino

Our Merino products are made from extra fine Australian Merino fibre which is dyed and spun in Italy. All products are Total EasyCare allowing them to be machine washed at up to 40°C and then tumble-dried without losing shape, size or colour.

Lambswool

Our Lambswool originates from Australia and is brought to the UK for dyeing and spinning before undergoing our traditional manufacturing process to provide the faultless, durable sweaters for which we have became well known. All Lambswool styles are Total EasyCare and are available in a comprehensive colour palette.

Product Care

If cared for properly, our products should give years of comfort and service. Always refer to the individual wash care instructions label inside each product. In the main, our cashmere is hand washed at 30°C or dry clean. All our Lambswool and Merino styles are total EasyCare meaning they can be machine washed at 40°C and then tumble-dried. This almost unique feature makes Hawick Knitwear products very low maintenance for people with busy lives and allows more use and wear from the garments.
